Cherokee ChokeHer skates with as much intensity and determination as an Indian hunting their prey. She is hell on wheels and a proud Native American who finds a way of balancing school, work, raising a teenager, being a wife and roller derby. During the day, Cherokee spends her time rehabilitating knees and hips, and then at night hits the track looking for new possible patients. Cherokee has skated for fun her whole life, after being introduced to the awesome world of derby, she never looked back. Cherokee eats, sleeps and breathes derby…just ask her husband. To her, derby is a way of releasing her aggression and showing that a girl dominated sport isn’t just about the fishnets and booty shorts, but more so the true athleticism and passion it takes to make it to the top.
